01Colour & shade
We photograph every Flaira piece in carefully controlled light and edit images to look as close to real life as possible. Even so, colour can appear slightly different on your phone or laptop because every screen displays colour differently, and because daylight, warm light and studio light all change how a fabric looks.
Fabrics dyed in different batches may also differ very slightly in shade. These variations are natural and are not considered a defect.
02Print placement & patterns
Prints, stripes, checks and motifs are cut from large lengths of fabric, so the exact position of a flower, stripe or motif on your piece may differ from the one in the photos. Stripes and checks may not match perfectly at every seam. This is a normal part of garment production and does not affect the quality of your piece.
03Texture, pleats & sheen
Many of our fabrics have a finish that changes with light. Linen blends show gentle weave lines and soft natural creases, satin kaftans have a sheen that shifts as you move, pleated fabrics fall slightly differently on every body, and sheer lace sleeves look lighter or darker depending on what is worn underneath. These qualities give each fabric its character and are not flaws.
04Printed fabrics & suit material
Digital and screen prints can look slightly sharper or softer depending on the fabric they are printed on. In unstitched suit sets, the kurta fabric, bottom and dupatta are often printed or dyed separately, so their shades may differ very slightly from each other and from the photos. Lace borders and scattered embroidered motifs may also be placed a little differently on every set.
05Embroidery, lace & embellishments
Embroidery, lace, beads, sequins and other embellishments on our tops and luxury sets are finished with a lot of handwork, so they may have slight irregularities in thread tension, spacing or placement. Lace patterns may sit slightly differently on each piece. Small loose threads can be trimmed carefully, and an occasional loose bead is not considered a defect.
06Measurements & fit
Garment measurements on our size charts are approximate and may vary by up to about 1 inch due to the nature of fabric, cutting and finishing. Each style has its own size chart on the product page — please check it before ordering, and see our Size Guide for how to measure yourself.
07Dyes & colour bleeding
Deep and bright shades (such as black, navy, wine, maroon and fuchsia) may release a little excess dye in the first few washes. Always wash dark and bright colours separately in cold water, and do not soak them. Follow our Fabric Care Guide to keep colours rich for longer.
08Shrinkage
Natural fibres like cotton and linen, and rayon, can shrink slightly after washing, especially in warm water or a dryer. Wash in cold water and dry in the shade to minimise this.
09Stretch, free size & elasticated styles
Lycra palazzos, elasticated waistbands and free-size kaftans are designed to stretch or drape to fit a range of body shapes, so the flat measurement of the garment may be smaller or larger than the size it fits. Free-size kaftans comfortably fit up to XXL (44 inch bust). Please read the fit note on each product page.
10What counts as a genuine defect

If you receive a defective item, message us within 24 hours of delivery with your unboxing video and we will make it right, as per our Returns, Exchange & Refund Policy.
